Tsubame-Sanjo copper workshops keep the fuki-iro (blown-color) flame tradition: after hammering, a soft propane flame 8–10 cm from the surface sweeps spirally — 240–280 °C gives golden tea (~8–12 nm oxide), rising to 320 °C for purple-brown. Masters read temperature from flame color within ±10 °C; apprentices burn through 200 practice bodies first. The thin transparent film stacks with a 0.3 vol% sulfide "water color" for the classic antique-gold of tea vessels. ---
