An outdoor bronze sculpture group (120 m²) in a coastal city was electro-colored with sulfides, then sealed with trivalent chromium passivation plus waterborne fluorocarbon lacquer. Neutral salt spray 480 h (GB/T 10125) showed no white rust, outperforming Cr(VI) benchmarks. Work was batched with sealing within 24 h of coloring; after 6 months of marine exposure, color difference ΔE<2, proving the eco-system viable for marine climates.
