Folding along curved lines over a dapping form creates shell-like volumes (bowls, leaf vessels): pre-curve the sheet over the form, fold up 30–60° along the arc, and the sheet springs into a 3D curve on opening. Line spacing of 15–25 mm gives the smoothest transitions; fold from center outward to prevent edge wrinkling. Unlike flat folds, curved folds open only 40–60% (flat up to 80%)—size blanks accordingly. ---
