取一块退火后的紫铜板放在平砧上，用中等重量的打平锤从中心向边缘呈螺旋状有序走锤，每锤重叠约三分之一锤面。切忌东一锤西一锤，否则会留下新凹坑。每打一遍翻面检查，发现凹陷用稍重锤补打，直到表面均匀反光、触感无起伏。
Place an annealed copper sheet on a flat stake and work a medium planishing hammer outward from the centre in a spiral, overlapping each blow by about one third of the face. Never strike randomly or you create new dents. Flip and inspect after each pass; planish any low spot with slightly firmer blows until the surface reflects evenly and feels flat. ---
