Several Copenhagen and London lighting and furniture brands have revived small-batch sand-cast brass hardware (pulls, lamp bases, hinge covers): aluminum or resin patterns, four impressions per green-sand flask, pouring CW617N (CuZn40Pb) at ~1150°C, machining-ready as-cast. Batches run 50–200 pieces, and the fine sand texture is kept as a design signature — some brands only tumble-deburr and never polish. Compared with die casting, tooling costs about 70% less and revisions only need a new pattern, ideal for limited editions and seasonal drops. ---
