浮雕（Repoussé）从金属片**背面**用钝头錾顶出立体造型，金属被拉伸隆起；錾刻（Chasing）从**正面**用线錾压出纹饰与轮廓，**不去除材料**（区别于雕刻 engraving 的切屑）。两者常配合：先浮雕塑形，再錾刻定线。适用于银盘、铜匾、首饰的立体纹样。

Repoussé shapes from the *back* with rounded punches, stretching metal up into relief. Chasing works the *front* with liners to define lines and texture — no material removed (unlike engraving).
