取棉花包于绸布扎成拓包，蘸浓墨（松烟墨）在废纸上吸去多余。承接纸用清水喷湿贴附母版，以拓包由外向内轻拍，墨色渐显纹路；力度均匀、不拖动，方可得清晰拓片。金属面拓印需先以丙酮去油。
Wrap cotton in silk to make a tampo, dip in thick pine-soot ink and blot excess on scrap. Wet the receiving paper, press onto the master, then dab from outside in with even, non-dragging pressure until the relief shows. For metal surfaces, degrease with acetone first. ---
