Found-object imprinting yields a "negative": the object's raised texture becomes incuse (sunken) in the metal. To get a "positive" relief matching the object's direction, use the negative metal as a mould and press a second soft sheet to lift a positive—a second-generation transfer. The negative/positive distinction matters: wearable faces often want positives for relief, while seals and rubbings use negatives. ---
