Wear eye protection against flying chips when hand-raising; use heat gloves for the pitch bowl and vent the area against pitch fumes. Machine embossing needs the same two-hand start and guards as a press, with infeed guides and e-stop on rollers. Tie back hair; keep hammer handles oil-free so they don't slip. ---
