电化学着色涉及硫化物（释 H₂S）、酸雾与氯酸盐，必须在通风橱或强排风下操作，佩戴耐酸手套、护目镜与实验服，严禁饮食。H₂S 低浓度即臭、高浓度麻痹嗅觉并致命，须配 H₂S 气体报警器。电解液容器标注成分，废液按重金属危废收集处理。
Electro-coloring involves sulfides (H₂S release), acid mist and chlorates—work only in a fume hood or strong extraction, wear acid gloves, goggles and lab coat, no eating/drinking. Low H₂S smells foul but high levels paralyze smell and kill—fit an H₂S alarm. Label all baths; collect waste as heavy-metal hazardous stream. ---
