Beyond fuming, verdigris grows directly from chlorides: repeatedly apply or mist 5–10% ammonium chloride or salt solution, keep humid and ventilated; within days to weeks a green film (mixed basic copper chloride/carbonate) forms. Least effort, ideal for large outdoor pieces and roofing; the result most resembles real weathering. **Keys**: needs moisture and air (sealed slows it); outdoor natural aging takes months to years, accelerate with salt mist.
