金工工作室的银废料（剪边、锉屑、失败退火件）可回用：先分拣剔除锡焊料件（锡会脆化合金），坩埚 1050–1100℃ 熔炼，加少量硼砂造渣，浇成 3–5 mm 厚银饼，热轧冷轧回 1.2–2 mm 板再起凸；锉屑需压团防飞扬损失。熔炼前以硼酸覆盖防吸气，铸后轧面若起皮须重熔。某银壶工作室年用银 80 kg，回用率达 60%，既降三成材料成本，又以「回收银」为卖点，可申请 Fairmined 类回收贵金属认证加价销售。
Shop silver scrap (cutoffs, filings, failed anneals) is fully reclaimable: sort out tin-soldered pieces (tin embrittles the alloy), melt at 1050–1100°C with a little borax flux, pour 3–5 mm cakes, and roll hot then cold back to 1.2–2 mm sheet for raising; press filings into briquettes so fines do not fly away. Cap the melt with boric acid against gas pickup, and remelt if the rolled surface skins. One kettle studio using 80 kg of silver a year reclaims 60%, cutting material cost by a third and marketing the stock as recycled — with Fairmined-style recycled-precious-metal certification supporting a premium.
