打平铜板嵌入硬木桌面的关键是"让铜呼吸"：2.0 mm 打平铜板四周留 2 mm 伸缩缝，沉入木框槽后以黄铜压条收边，木槽内刷两遍封蜡防潮并防铜绿沾染木材。铜面打平到平面度 ≤0.3 mm/m 即可，过度追求镜面反而放大木框微变形带来的观感差。日常养护铜面每年补蜡两次，木面忌用含硅护理剂以免污染铜蜡层；两种材料的热胀差由伸缩缝与压条浮动结构吸收。
Inlaying a planished copper panel into hardwood is about letting the copper breathe: leave a 2 mm expansion gap around a 2.0 mm panel, bed it in a rabbet sealed with two coats of wax against moisture and copper-salts staining, and retain it with a floating brass bead. Planish to ≤0.3 mm/m flatness—chasing a mirror only magnifies the hardwood's micro-movement. Re-wax the copper twice a year, keep silicone polish off the wood, and let the gap and floating bead absorb the two materials' differing expansion.
