Spun copper collars mating blown glass are a hot lighting/vessel format: copper takes the ring and bracket, glass is blown to meet it. Critical fits: design the copper bore +0.3 mm over the glass lip using the glass shop's measured shrinkage; roll the collar end to R2 so it wraps the lip, fixed with neutral silicone whose flex absorbs differential expansion. One studio spins 1.0 mm copper into φ120 mm collars, patinates, and the glasshouse blows 50 per batch against a 3D-printed fit ring — first-pass fit, adding EUR 200+ per piece in design premium.
