Museum replicas of damaged copper vessels often start with spinning: an aluminium or epoxy chuck turned from 3D scan data, 0.9–1.2 mm copper spun to within 0.05 mm wall variation, then aged with dilute K₂S (0.3 vol%) plus ammonia fuming to ΔE < 8 against the original. Versus casting, spun replicas are 40% lighter and take half the time — ideal for handling exhibits. ---
